Seda CMS Launch

After working with Seda PDS on their promotional video, we were brought back in for something a little more layered, and full of moving parts.

Seda CMS is a new division of the business, focused on GMP-compliant drug manufacturing. They had taken over a 50,000 square foot office space at Lakeside and were in the process of converting it into a full GMP facility. Our brief was to document the transformation and help bring their vision to life through film.

From bare office to world-class lab

We started filming when the site was still an office building. The walls hadn’t come down yet, and you needed a bit of imagination to see what it would become. To show the development properly, we made multiple visits across the renovation timeline, mapping out where to stand each time so we could replicate the same angles before, during and after. This allowed us to match cut those stages into a seamless visual progression.

Alongside this, we introduced the new Seda CMS team. A new division meant new faces, and it was important that the video didn’t just show the facility, it showed the people behind it. We documented their work, the planning stages, the problem-solving, and how it all came together.

We conducted relaxed interviews with key team members and filmed them at work, integrating their contributions with the renovation footage. It helped give the video a human side, showing not just the physical space, but also the expertise and collaboration that went into building it.

The final launch video was shared on LinkedIn and picked up strong engagement, especially within the pharmaceutical and biotech communities.

We also pulled footage to create a branded banner video for their website landing page. It’s a great example of how video content can be repurposed to serve more than one purpose. We already had beautifully lit, polished footage of the finished facility and the team in action. By trimming it into a looping banner edit, we were able to create a high-impact visual that supports the brand 24/7 on the site without needing a new shoot or concept.

This kind of content reuse is something we always encourage, especially when you've invested in documenting a project of this scale.

Making the facility accessible with a 360° Virtual Tour

Because of the highly controlled nature of a GMP facility, client visits are limited. So we created a fully interactive 360° virtual tour that spans all three floors of the building.

The tour allows prospective clients and partners to explore the facility remotely, navigating via a floor plan and interactive waypoints. We host and manage the tour ourselves, making updates or changes as needed, which takes the pressure off Seda CMS internally.

Filming inside required full compliance with GMP protocols, which meant gowning up in disposable coveralls with built-in hoods and feet, no jewellery, and no makeup. Not the most glamorous shoot, but definitely one of the most technical.

The grand opening

The final shoot for the project was the official opening, attended by the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham. We filmed the full tour, plaque unveiling, and produced a short event video and stills for LinkedIn and internal use.

From documenting a building site to launching a virtual facility, it was great to collaborate with Seda again, and to be involved across every stage from planning to post.
