About The Hubb Foundation

The Hubb Foundation is a charity that helps provide disadvantaged children and their families with nutritious meals during the school holidays across Stoke-on-Trent.

Their Hubb Pots Project does exactly that, providing a slow cooker, £60 worth of food vouchers and recipes for healthy meals.

“With funding, the Hubb Pots Project has resulted in the provision of over 72,000 meals that our community have cooked for themselves at home”

Sheena Bateman, Funding Partnership Manager at The Hubb Foundation.

The Hubb Foundation approached us to produce a series of videos to:

Promote

Educate

Showcase

  • Promote the project to families it can help

  • Show the families what recipes to make and how to make them

  • Show the impact of the project

  • Showcase their work to potential funders and trustees

In response, we created a series of videos to achieve these goals.

Promotional Video

The promotional video is aimed at families, to inform them about the project and encourage them to take part. It was important that the video felt authentic and representative of the families.

The hand-held camera, natural lighting and real home environment all contributed to the genuine feel of the promo. The busts of stop-motion vegetables show the healthy ingredients, encapsulates the excitement of cooking and marries well with the overlaid copy.

Social Snippets

To make the footage we captured for the promo video go further, we created 3 evergreen social snippets to continue to boost the reach of the project into the future.

These snippets are a great way to keep the audience engaged and help the Hubb Project maintain visibility.

Social media users are more likely to watch short videos than long ones. They're less time-consuming and can be watched on the go, making them perfect to reach busy parents more effectively. The snippets are also ideal for use as sponsored ad posts on social media.

The 1:1 (square) aspect ratio of the snippets makes them mobile-friendly and can be easily viewed on smartphones and tablets.

The social snippets will continue to be relevant in the future with post captions written by The Hubb Foundation to reflect what stage their project is at.

Case Study

In an initial meeting with The Hubb Foundation, it was suggested that there be one long-form video that spoke to both families and investors about the project. We felt that each audience needed separate approaches to deliver two very different messages. One long-form video would also run the risk of not resonating effectively with either audience.

The case study follows the conventional piece-to-camera format making it easily digestible, accompanied by supporting footage to visually aid the points raised throughout.

Cooking Series

The Hubb Foundation collaborated with Feasted to show families how to make delicious, healthy meals in the slow cooker. We spent a day in the Feasted studio with Cris Cohen and his team to create 4 recipe videos with the help of the children from Glebe Academy in Stoke-on-Trent.

In keeping with the authentic theme, we went with a YouTube-esque format that can be easily followed by adults and children.

"Prickly Peach Films have absolutely smashed this"

Michelle Nagington, The Hubb Foundation

We’re immensely proud to help promote such a fantastic project that has helped and will continue to help so many people across Stoke-on-Trent.

We’re super grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Feasted and the individuals at The Hubb Foundation that are so passionate about what they do.
